Following old boys have been awarded COAS/VCOAS Commendation Cards on the occasion of Army Day 2008

Continuing with our retrospective of 2007

Major General Jatinder Singh, SM (228/1969) taken over charge as GOC, HQ 2 Mtn Div
BR Vijaya Kumar (526/1972) is conferred with IFS - Indian Forest Service
American association of pharmaceutical scientists (AAPS) presented Dr Saji K Thomas (917/1979) a service award at it's annual meeting in San Diego, USA on Nov 11th.
Colonel Jacob Chacko Tharakan (732/1976) has been awarded Army Chiefs commendation card for outstanding work carried out in connection with World Military Games held at Secunderabad .
Aiswarya, daughter of Col. Ajay CV (1235/1982) has won the gold medal in the International Information Technology and Computer Science Olympiad held by Bill Gates and Melinda Foundation.
Maj. Praveen G (2292/1993) have been nominated for the Advanced Command and Staff College at Shrivenham, UK

As we bid farewell to 2007 it's time to look back and remember some events that happened last year.

March 15: Lt. Col. Rajesh Nair (1039/1980) handed over the charge of Registrar, SSKZM to Lt. Col. M C Thomas (1260/1982). Rajesh was the first Old Boy to assume charge of Registrar, SSKZM and assumed charge on 15 Oct 2003.
March 20: Sad demise of Capt: Harshan R (2276/1997)
July 6: Get together of 1982 batch at Hotel Udaya Samudra, Kovalam, Release of "Smrithilayam 2007" by Col B Ajit Kumar, Principal
July 7: 38th Reunion of Old Students of the SSKZM
Sept 11: Dr Tomy Thomas Kallarackal (351/1969) (School Captain 1969) passed away at Aluva
Sept 29: The Mumbai Chapter of the "Alumni" at Naval Dockyard, Colaba.
Oct 28: Bangalore Chapter gettogether at Territorial Army officers mess
Dec 28: 1966 Batch get together at SSKZM
Dec 30: 2nd Executive Committee Meeting of OBA at Conference Hall, SSKZM
